Icon Schemes

Since v2.5 Steem's icons can be customised. You can do this yourself by simply going to Options->Icons and clicking on the icon you want to change, but this is a bit slow. Instead you can download a set of icons (called an icon scheme) made by other Steem users. Below are the currently available icon schemes.

Original

Don't like using nice icons? With this scheme you can make Steem look like it did back in the ugly old days!

Default

This is Steem's default scheme, if you want to make your own icon scheme download it and read the instructions below.

Create a Scheme

It is easy to create a scheme of your own, just download the default scheme and replace the icons with your new ones. The icons have to be in standard Windows format (max 256 colours), Steem does not support the new Windows XP icons. Now open the "default.stico" file, read the instructions and alter it to suit your new scheme. Now rename the stico file and the folder to the name you have chosen for your scheme and you're done. Compress your new scheme into an archive, send it to us, and then we'll add it to this page when we can.
